SAP BASIS

SAP BASIS training, System Administration.

The engineer who keeps SAP running, patched, secure and fast.

  • Around 50 hours over about 2 months
  • Online, or offline in Hebbal, Bengaluru
  • Weekday or weekend, morning or evening
  • IT, infra and support backgrounds

What SAP BASIS actually is

SAP Basis is the technical administration of the SAP landscape. Users and authorisations, transports between development, quality and production, background jobs, performance, dumps and error analysis, database and backups, patching and upgrades. No SAP customer can run without it, which is why Basis roles exist wherever SAP exists, including 24x7 support teams.

What the job looks like on a normal day

  • Move a transport through the landscape and clean up after a failed import
  • Track down why a nightly job failed and the users found out before you did
  • Build a new role in PFCG, and prove the user can no longer see payroll data

Who this module fits

  • BCA, MCA, B.Tech CS or IT
  • System, Linux and Windows administrators
  • Database administrators
  • Network and infrastructure engineers
  • IT service desk staff wanting a specialist track

Roles people target afterwards

  • SAP Basis Administrator
  • SAP Security and Authorisations Administrator
  • SAP Technical Consultant
  • SAP Managed Services Engineer
  • SAP Infrastructure Engineer

Job titles, not promises. What you earn depends on your background, your practical work and how you interview.

Certification, stated plainly

No direct associate certification exists for Basis on S/4HANA. Nearest: C_ADBTP (BTP Administrator) and E_S4CON (Conversion and Upgrade, specialist).

Straight answer on scope. SAP's own learning journey for this certification is longer than our taught hours: ours is around 50 hours on the same topic areas and the same system work, and you keep practising on your 24x7 server login between classes. We prepare you and help you register; the exam is set, run and priced by SAP, and is separate from the course fee.

A TalentGlow completion certificate is not an SAP certification. Only SAP issues an SAP certification, and we will never blur that line.

Interview questions you should be able to answer

  • Explain the three-system landscape and how a transport moves.
  • A user says 'no authorisation'. How do you debug it?
  • What is a client copy, and what does it not copy?
  • How do you analyse an ABAP dump in ST22?
  • What do you check when users report the system is slow?
  • What is the difference between a kernel patch and a support package?

We run mock interviews on exactly this question set before you sit a real one.

Common questions

Will I definitely get a job after this?

No, and anyone who tells you yes is lying to you. What we do is specific and real: your CV rewritten the way screening software actually reads it, your LinkedIn rebuilt, mock interviews on your own module, and your profile put in front of employers and recruiters we speak to. We never charge a candidate a placement fee. The rest is you and the market.

Do I get an SAP certificate at the end?

You get a TalentGlow course-completion certificate, which proves you trained with us. That is not the same thing as an SAP certification, which is an exam set and run by SAP itself and carries a credential ID an employer can verify. We prepare you for that exam and help you book it. The exam fee is paid to SAP and is separate from the course fee. We will never blur those two things together.

Is SAP not dying, now that everything is cloud and AI?

SAP is the cloud move: that is what S/4HANA is. SAP has said mainstream maintenance for the older ECC generation ends in 2027, with an extended option to 2030, so companies are being pushed to migrate. Those migration projects are exactly why consultants are being hired now. AI reads the data. Somebody still has to configure the process that produces it.

Can I do this while working full time?

Yes. Batches run on weekdays or weekends, morning or evening, and you can switch between online and the centre in Hebbal. You also get your own 24x7 login on a live S/4HANA system, so the practice happens on your schedule, not ours.

I can learn this free on YouTube. Why pay?

Some of it, yes, and we would not stop anyone. Two things YouTube cannot give you: your own login on a real S/4HANA system to practise on at midnight, and a person who answers the specific error on your screen on a Sunday.

What do the fees work out to?

Fees and instalment options are confirmed on a call, because the right programme depends on your background. Message us and we will send them the same day. There is a 2-day foundation workshop if you want to try before committing to the full programme.
